Oversaw all phases of Lise Silva Gomes’ artist residency at Local Language, including artist selection, scheduling, budget management, and exhibition planning. Provided curatorial support through collaborative writing, artist interviews, and creative direction, with ongoing consultation on fabrication and material experimentation.
During the residency, Gomes created Love Maps, a mixed-media body of work exploring how early memories shape our understanding of love and belonging. The collection features dreamlike acrylic prints layered with nostalgic imagery, a sculptural chessboard symbolizing relational dynamics, and surreal objects inspired by divination games and 80s/90s childhood artifacts. Developed using custom fabrication techniques, the exhibition invites introspection through playful and dimensional storytelling.
